Start by doing some basic stretching exercises to minimize the chance of injury. |
| 2 |
Select a 6 or 7 Iron, and without the glasses on hit 5 to 10 golf balls. |
| 3 |
Put the glasses on and now setup on the ball, with a good grip, and the ball just forward of center of stance. |
| 4 |
Focus your eyes on the center aft of the ball. |
| 5 |
Notice that if your head is tilting too much that the ground, ball, etc., will look high or low out of one eye. |
| 6 |
Now hit 5 balls. Make every attempt to notice exactly the location that the club strikes the ball. |
| 7 |
Now take the glasses off, and hit 5 shots. Continue to alternate this process, using various clubs. |
| 8 |
You should hit at least 20-60 golf balls with the same club until moving to another. |
| 9 |
Utilize the same process in Chipping and Putting, with some of the following differences: (A) when chipping from around the greens use a 6,7,8 iron. (B) Divide the distance from the ball to hole location in thirds. (C) work on landing the ball either in the first or second third or maybe final third of the distance. (D) Place a marker at the point in which you believe that you want the ball to land to get the ball in the hole (or very close to it!) and then adjust the position of the marker depending upon the results. Once you find the perfect spot, practice 20-50 shots with and without the glasses.
USE THE SAME PROCESS FOR PUTTING, BUT WITH (A) One Foot (B) Five Feet (C) Ten Foot. |
| 10 |
Make sure that you are careful when using the glasses on the actual golf course, to avoid striking someone with a club that you failed to notice due to the restriction of your side and vertical vision. |
